On April 14, 2021 something magical happened. The birth of Transformative Services LLC occurred. Surrounded by my supportive family, my loving wife and my 2 wonderful daughters, I had taken the first big step to a dream of a better future. Since 2016 I have struggled and searched for ways that I could make my little corner of the world a little better and a little more accepting of individuals like me. As a transgender woman who is also a lesbian I have had many struggles. The interesting thing that I noticed over and over in my struggles is that, it is not that most people did not care. It was that most people did not understand! They often thought they did. Therapists thought they were doing what is right. People attempted to understand. Businesses and agencies tried to find a peaceful way to end conflicts. But each time they tried to "fix" a problem stemming from a general lack of deep understanding, they did it from a innate societal standpoint that only funneled the struggles, difficulties, and pain to me. I vowed to help all who meant well and started my journey. I learned and grew. Struggled and overcame, realizing that our little corner of the world of Sheboygan, WI does not have the support necessary to change this microaggressive discrimination against LGBTQ individuals. I knew what I had to do. I founded a group now called Sheboygan County LGBTQ Alliance to help battle this, but it was not enough. I helped get the Sheboygan Area LGBTQ Support Group made, but it still was not enough. Finally, I knew what I had to do to truly help change. Thus Transformative Services LLC was created.
