The path to discovery is often long and twisting.  Mine took most of my life to attain.  Growing up in Sheboygan, WI I learned our county's views and prejudices the hard way.  It was not until I was in my thirties that I would be able to understand why I never fit in and felt like I did not belong.  Coming out as transgender set me free and allowed me to understand how a single aspect can have profound effects.  despite being more than a gender, it was my gender that was causing me so much pain.  Depression, migraines, IBS, insomnia, anxiety, stress, restless legs syndrome, excessive weight, poor health, self harm, and an overall lack of self care all disappeared from my life like a magic trick when I finally accepted who I was.  A transgender woman. My loved ones, my supportive and ever loving wife along with the two most adorable (probably cisgender) and loving daughters, have supported me on this journey and have shown me what unconditional support really means.  In 2016 I decided that I wanted to provide the same support to all who needed it.  I devoted my therapeutic practice and my passion to LGBTQ+ advocacy.  I was able to assist in the start of the Sheboygan County LGBTQ Alliance and Sheboygan Area LGBTQ Support Group. I gained certification in gender diversity training and have trained many groups, businesses, and agencies such as Kohler Company, Acuity, Sheboygan Sheriff's Department, Sheboygan County Health and Human Services, and more.  And this is only the beginning.
